Tips On How To Get Job Connect

One of the problem confronting job seekers is how to get connected in order to be gainfully employed. Here are some tips that could help you connect those hidden jobs:

List all your friends/contacts (and their jobs) and ask if they can help.
Get as many people as possible looking for you. Join a recruitment agency and let contacts know you are around.
Keep in touch with changes in your chosen field by scanning journals, trade magazines, newsletters and the Web. Attend local business events.
Tap into new networks by attending local/regional meetings of professional associations, bodies or groups or getting involved in community projects.
Draw up a target list of organizations using Yellow pages, trade directories, journals, business associations and government bodies.
Know who you are targeting before sending off speculative letters. Be clear on what you are asking for and follow up with a phone call. Be persistent but be polite.
Volunteer to work unpaid or on a trial basis (especially in small firms). Use any opportunity (e.g. a course project) to show your ability and make new contacts.
Scan the local paper for expanding companies and check out opportunities by strolling round your local business park or office complex. Follow up with a speculative phone call later.

Follow up on these and you can be sure of getting connect.
