Purchasing Supervisor Job Placement In A Manufacturing Firm

Vacancy:   

Purchase Supervisor

A world Class Manufacturing Company with a modern automated fabrication and galvanization Steel Plant require the services of an experienced and articulate candidate as Purchase Supervisor.
 
Requirement:
Minimum Educational Qualification: Degree
Minimum Experience Required: 3 Year(s)
 
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with suppliers and end-users with respect to selection purchase, delivery and installation of equipments
  • Active participation in the areas of preparation and insurance of enquires, administration of bids, tenders or quotation, negotiation, expediting and delivery of purchases
  • Procurement of goods and materials for all company's functions
  • assist in the maintenance of adequate inventory levels through the standardization of products and scheduled supplier reordering to ensure uninterrupted delivery of supplies
  • Contribute in ensuring that correct quality and high quality materials are purchased
  • Provide recommendation using life-cycle costing through market research and analyse
  • Evaluate inventory efficiencies with the plant manager, CTO and other personnel
  • Assist in the review and development of procurement policies and procedure and ensure compliance 
  • Resolve involve discrepancies/disputes in conjunction with accounts payable
  • Ensure no stock-out of petroleum products and lubricants in the factory

Skills and Competence:
  • Bachelor’s degree in purchasing supply or business administration
  • 3-5years experience as a purchasing officer in a manufacturing company
  • MS word and Excel skill
  • strong negotiation and organizational skills
  • Good problem solving skills
